Timeless Time-keeper

There had been four, in the beginning. Beginning of what? How does one answer that? I’d prefer that you do not ask that question. So, let me begin again…
There had been four, in the beginning… of this journey to discover the dark tunnel of the timeless time-keeper. As four climbed down a hill and walked through a valley, one chose to stay behind and enjoy the summer. The second decided to be alone, away from the dictates of their heavy society. The third walked faster than others, and disappeared, as the fourth lingered on.
How long does it take to find the tunnel? How does one answer that? I’d prefer you do not ask that question. So, when the fourth reached, it was all of a sudden. The journey seemed to condense to a moment. He hid behind a boulder and saw this moment hanging lightly, one among many many others… droplets in the web of time. The timeless time-keeper emerged from the shadows of his dark tunnel. He made sure every moment was worth his time, and then he disappeared for another eternity…. or was it another moment… I am not sure… perhaps both…
