Writing has been an act of tracing of my thought and feeling for most of my life. In stories we live and die, we resurrect and die again, we laugh and cry again… in writing we explore… go footloose into the deepest reaches of what it means to be alive… high up the exhilarated peaks of what it means to be alive…
With photography I explore the visual in the world. I find little worlds and micro landscapes to be a source of endless fascination and joy… and the majesty of the mountains… mountains give perspective… In photography there is great excitement and adventure. I hope you see it too…
With music I have come to understand that which is alive in poetry… music is perhaps the voice of poetry… or poetry the voice of music… this way, that way, either way… I play the guitar and sing…
I’ve been told that music shows in my writing and poetry in my photography… I think it is true.
I have been a student of literature and philosophy… Philosophy is like seeing the seeing… or hearing the hearing… or at times seeing the hearing, hearing the seeing… for some it fades effortlessly into stories… sometimes philosophy hates stories, believing that there are other higher truths than just stories…
The one thing that I can say sincerely is that the world is many stories that have not yet been told. You are most welcome to join me in this journey with story of the footloose…
