lit a cigarette.

jerk out of this (Ha!) real.

Yesternight when he regained his relative soft composure,

a man,

was a leaf,

in the darkness,

the leaf,

Yesternight a leaf

swayed sincere with soft breeze,

yesternight a leaf,

was…a leaf…

Today was just too (Ha!) real to (Ha!) have been.

Tonight a man wished to be a leaf…

Yesternight’s sweet dream is but tonight’s nightmare.
